SOUTHINGTON – Joan Datelle, age 73 of Southington, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2022, in the comfort of her home.
Joan was born November 14, 1948, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Bisconti) Datelle. She was a graduate of Kennedy High School, and worked for many years as a bus driver for the City of Waterbury. Joan enjoyed being a resident of the Town Plot section of Waterbury for many years before moving to Southington. She made sure to attend the Mount Carmel Feast annually. Joan enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and cheering on the Yankees, but what she truly loved the most was her trips to Bantam Lake and camping.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory is her long-time partner, Daniel Rabintin,
her daughter, Rayae and her husband,Michael Geci, and her sons; Joseph Giampetruzzi and William Giampetruzzi. Joan also leaves her adoring grandchildren; Sophie Nowak, William Geci, Mia Geci, Isabella Giampetruzzi, and Shea Giampetruzzi, her brothers; Henry (Kathy) Datelle, Ralph Datelle, and Francis (Joan) Datelle, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
All services for Joan will be held privately at the convenience of her family. To honor Joan’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice or to Connecticut Community Addiction Recovery Inc.
