MANCHESTER, NH- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Mr. Jereme F. Gee, age 43, of Manchester, NH, but formerly of Litchfield County, shares the news of his unexpected passing on Sunday, June 14, 2026, after a tragic motor vehicle accident.
Jereme was born on January 23, 1983, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the beloved son of James Gee and the late Elizabeth (Giegle) Gee. He grew up in Watertown and spent part of his life in Goshen and Litchfield County, before making New Hampshire his home. Jereme proudly served his country in the United States Army and Army National Guard as a 31C Single Channel Radio Operator (E-4). His service included a deployment to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, during which he performed foreign service in an area subject to imminent danger pay. His distinguished service included: the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM), the Army Achievement Medal (AAM), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ "M" Device, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. Jereme’s courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty earned him numerous commendations and the respect of those who served alongside him. The lessons he learned and the experiences he gained through military service helped shape the man he became—strong, resilient, and deeply appreciative of life's simple blessings. Following his military career, Jereme worked as a skilled contractor for a variety of companies, earning a reputation for his hard work and dependability. Jereme found deep respite in the outdoors and was a passionate hiker who took his dogs out in nature, regardless of the season. He was also an avid cyclist who frequently rode with his friends, Lucas and Mat, participating in charity rides such as "Highs and Lows" to raise awareness for mental illness and suicide prevention. Jereme’s life mission was dedicated to supporting fellow Veterans through their traumas, specifically focusing on PTSD and substance use recovery. He graduated with his undergraduate degree in Psychology in May 2026 and was planning to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling this fall. Outside of employment, Jereme found joy and freedom in the outdoors. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, exploring nature through hiking, and embracing every opportunity for adventure. Above all else, he treasured the time spent with his family, whose love and companionship were the greatest source of pride and happiness in his life.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his Dad, are his brother: Josh Gee and his wife ,Kaitlin Hurley, his niece, Hannah Gee and his girlfriend., Pam Swanick, and her son, Anthony.
He also leaves behind his aunts; Theresa Gee and Bridget “Peggie” Tabacco, his uncle, David Gee, cousins and many other extended family members and beloved friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Jereme’s family on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT 06705.
