Mr. Javier Antonio Torres-Roman

Beloved Father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

WATERBURY - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Javier Antonio Torres-Roman, age 53, of Waterbury, announce his passing on Friday, April 5^th 2024 at Waterbury Hospital.

Javier was born August 12, 1970, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Flor Torres and Blanca Roman.  He was raised and educated in the Penuelas, Puerto Rico, area and moved to CT in the 80’s. Javier was a talented craftsman and spent several years working as a machine operator at Summitt Corporation. He had an amazing sense of imagination and loved to tinker, invent, and craft furniture and household items from scrap and spare parts that he would collect. He was an avid sports fan and diehard New York Yankees fan and was a long-time member of the Diamond Back Buick Car club.   Javier excelled at many things but nothing more than at being a father and grandfather.  He was always happiest while spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.   Javier loved to help others and became instant friends with anyone he met.  Even after death, he has chosen to offer the gift of life by providing an anatomical donation of his organs to help someone else in need.  

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children, Miguel DelValle, Enrique Perez Luis DelValle, and Jahayar Perez, all of Waterbury. He also leaves his brothers Geraldo Torres of Waterbury and Daniel Torres of Puerto Rico.  In addition, he leaves his 10 grandchildren as well as other extended family members and many friends

 
Funeral services for Mr. Torres-Roman will be held on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery Waterbury.
