James Alan
Morigi
February 5, 1952 – April 4, 2026
WATERTOWN- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of James Alan Morigi, age 74, of Watertown, formerly of Pennsylvania, shares the news of his peaceful passing on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the comfort of his home.
James, affectionately known as “Rock and Roll Al,” was born on February 5, 1952, in North Charleroi, PA, the son of the late John Nazareth and Marie Rose (Sabo) Morigi. He was raised and graduated from local schools in Monessen, PA. and relocated to Watertown, CT, in the late 80s, where he created his home. He worked and retired from the North Atlantic States Regional Council Carpenters Union, Local 24. His passion for music was a defining feature of his character. An avid collector and player of guitars, he found joy and purpose in all thing’s music. His enthusiasm for life extended to his love of Pittsburgh sports and classic cars, both of which he pursued with fervor.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memories are his brother, John Morigi; niece, Jodi (Larry) Kubitza; nephew, Jon (Tami) Morigi; 5 great-nieces and nephews. He also had a loving Connecticut family, including: honorary niece Dawn (Eric) Hannon and family; Dave (Lindsay) St. Hilaire; Mark (Pappy) Paplauskas; Brad Paplauskas; Godson Stephen Paplauskas, and the late Eddie Gaffney, along with many other local friends who helped make Connecticut become his home.
Services for James are pending and will be held at a later date. The Casey-O’Neill Family Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville, CT, has been honored to care for James and his family during this most difficult time. In this time of reflection, the family welcomes all who knew and loved James to share messages of condolence, comfort, and cherished memories.
