WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and truly broken hearts that the family of Ismael Pacheco Jr., age 12 of Waterbury, shares the news of his tragic passing on November 22, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Bristol.

Ismael was born on March 4, 2013, in Waterbury, CT, the son of Coraima Maldonado and his dad, Ismael Pacheco Sr. who also passed away in the same accident. Ismael was a bright spirit full of creativity. He was attending Waterbury Arts Magnet School, where his talent for drawing and design shone brightly. He had a particular passion for creating unique designs with his Lego sets, reflecting his imaginative mind and artistic flair. Additionally, Ismael enjoyed the joy of old-school video consoles, losing himself in the delightful worlds they offered. However, his greatest source of happiness came from the time spent with family. He possessed a rare ability to bring people together, finding joy in simple moments that made life beautiful. As we gather to celebrate Ismael’s life, we are reminded of his laughter, his creativity, and the warmth he brought to those who are fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved him. In this time of loss, we find solace in the love Ismael shared, which will continue to inspire and uplift us. His soul has touched many lives, and we remain grateful for the time we had with him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.

Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy besides his mother, are his grandparents, Rosa Durna and Jose Pacheco, his siblings, Ivan Pacheco, Gabriela, and Mariana Maldonado, and his stepfather, Gabriel Maldonado, in addition to other extended family members and many friends.
