WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Ismael Medero, age 89, of Waterbury, shares the news of his peaceful passing on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Cheshire House. He was the cherished widow of Mrs. Margarita (Torres) Medero, to whom he was married for 59 wonderful years.

Ismael was born on October 21, 1936, in Municipio de Aibonito, Puerto Rico and was a very simple and honest man who gave his all to living a precious life. He will forever be remembered for his resilience, generosity, and genuine love for life. He was the proud father of a son and two daughters, whom he loved very much. His love extended to their children as he became a grandfather to nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister and two brothers, by whom he will forever be cherished.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Medero will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Grove Cemetery, 1 Cross St, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
