Obituary

OAKVILLE — It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Henry Joseph LeClerc shares the news of his peaceful passing on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the VITAS Unit of Saint Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved widower of Mrs. Jeannette Rita (Dupont) LeClerc.

Henry was born on January 26, 1929, in Acton Vale Quebec, Canada, the cherished son of the late Heldeo and Orise (Joubert) LeClerc. Henry was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—his passion for carpentry created cherished pieces that filled homes with warmth and character. Henry always had a vegetable garden that he always enjoyed working in. Henry’s family will forever hold dear the memories of their father, who instilled in them the values of hard work, patience, and the joy of solving a good puzzle. His legacy will live on through the stories he told, the lessons he taught, and the love that he shared. His life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. May he find eternal rest and peace beyond measure and may he never be forgotten.

Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy, are his children; Barbara (LeClerc) Fox and her husband Luke, Brian LeClerc and his fiancé, Nancy Hiller, and Robert LeClerc and his wife Sherry, eight grandchildren, his dear friend, Jean Lopes, and his former daughter-in-law, Patricia LeClerc. Henry also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
