Ms. Helen Griska

BEACON FALLS – It is with profound sadness that the family of Helen E. (Paugis) Griska, age 98, shares news of her peaceful passing on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the beloved widow of Frank Griska.

Helen was born on November 19, 1926, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Straznickas) Paugis. She was a lifelong resident of Beacon Falls. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Left to honor and cherish her memories are her children; Sandra Fitzner of Wolcott, Carol Griska of Beacon Falls and Darlene Griska and her husband Randall Frink also of Beacon Falls, her grandchildren; William Fitzner of Wolcott, Ann Walsh and her husband Mark of Wolcott and her great- grandson; Jaxon Walsh. She was predeceased by her grandson; Jeffrey Fitzner.

All services for Mrs. Griska will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
