WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Harry Muniz Sr., age 68, shares the news of his unexpected passing at St Marys Hospital on Monday, August 10, 2026. 

Harry was born on March 17, 1958 in Waterbury CT., the son of the late Pedro A.Muniz and his mom Nereida (Colon) Muniz of Waterbury. He was a graduate of Kaynor Technical School, and he ran his own auto business in Waterbury for many years. Following that, he worked at St. Mary's. He was a man filled with joy and a passion for life, always enjoying special moments out with his family. He will be missed dearly but will live on in the hearts of all those who have had the privilege to know and love him.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish his memory besides his mom are his soulmate and constant companion Sandra DeJesus, his son, Harry Muniz Jr, his daughter, Kimberly Muniz, his siblings; Antonio, Milagros Gallegos and Nereida Muniz as well as 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members and many friends. 

Funeral services for Mr. Muniz will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2026 when his family invites those wishing to pay their respects to do so from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury will be held at the convenience of his family.
