Mrs. Gloriann Birmingham

October 3, 1955 — February 10, 2024

Beloved Wife, Mother and Sister.

CHESHIRE– Gloriann (Longo) Birmingham, age 68, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at The Cheshire House in Waterbury after an extended courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was the beloved wife of Fred Birmingham for 48 years.

Gloriann was born on October 3, 1955, in Waterbury, CT, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Gloria (Fappiano) Longo. She attended St. Thomas Grammar School, graduated from Sacred Heart High School, and then attended Mattatuck Community College. Gloriann’s greatest passion in life was her family, as well as working with children. She spent several years working in various daycare facilities, including Imagination Station and Jack and Jill Daycare Center. Gloriann was always looking to help any child in need, especially if they had special needs. She was honored to be a foster mother and served as an advocate for several children. Gloriann also loved animals, pretty much anything with four legs, and always spoiled her fur babies, especially her dog Kermit, who has been a constant companion with her through her illness. Gloriann enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to camping trips to the Poconos with her family. She also enjoyed spending time on the beach. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Left to honor Gloriann’s legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband, Fred is her daughter; Angela Birmingham and her husband Jason Stumpf of Westbrook, her sister Angela Longo of Huntington Beach, CA, her beloved dog Kermit, as well as many nieces and nephews.
