Mr. Frederick Frenis

September 19, 1944 — July 9, 2025

WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Frederick F. Frenis, age 80, of Waterbury, share the news of his peaceful passing on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Frederick was born in Waterbury, on September 19, 1944, the son of the late Frank and Florence (Desena) Frenis. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, he touched the lives of many throughout his journey. He was a man of many passions, with his family always at the center of his heart. He was a devoted and supportive father and was very dedicated to his partner Sheila for 41 years, cherishing every moment spent together. He was the owner of F&F Commercial Cleaning Service and a butcher for many years for various companies. He loved using the word love and enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, horseback riding, martial arts and traveling to Florida to visit his family. Fred’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds; he was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word. He would give the shirt off his back to help those in need—a testament to his caring nature. Fred’s greatest joy came from the time spent with his loving family. He touched the lives of everyone around him with his warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.

Left to honor and cherish his memory, besides his partner of 41 years, Sheila Bruce, are his children; Lory Smith and her husband Troy of Florida, Paul Frenis and his wife Amanda of Watertown and Gregg Frenis and his wife Melissa of Wolcott, his grandchildren, Christopher, Brea, Mia, Brody, Kaylee and Aiden, his 7 great- grandchildren, Lianna, Rhianna, Mason, Zoey, Maverick, Cayson and Cayden, his step-children; Jennifer Aldrich Bojnowski, Laurie Alrich and her partner Michael Blake and his step- grandchildren; Nicholas, Jenna, Jacob, Julianna, Sierra and Lucky and his siblings; Frank Frenis, Anita Frenis and Fran Frenis. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his siblings; Ronald and Steven Frenis.
