WATERBURY - Mr. Francis R. Zanavich age, 67 of Waterbury passed away on Wednesday, November 17,2021 with his family by his side at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St Mary's Hospital
Francis was born on April 7, 1954 in Waterbury the son of the late Wilfred and Dorothy (Moraski) Zanavich. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1973 and worked for area companies as a carpet mechanic. Anyone that knew him, knew that he had a big sense of humor. He also loved to cook and enjoyed listening to 70s music. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his daughters: Brenda Lynn Pagan and her husband Jonathan Sr of Waterbury and Larissa Turner and her husband, Ahmad also of Waterbury and his grandchildren, Jonathan Jr, Jayden, Justyn, Dante, Ahmaya and Ahmari. He also leaves his siblings; Alan and Mark Zanavich and Shirley Beale, Elaine Zanavich and Susan Grant. In addition, he leaves his former wife, Linda Sciarra and his best friend, Kevin Pianka as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family would like to thank St. Mary's VITAS for their exceptional, compassionate care during this difficult time.
Funeral services for Mr, Zanavich will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. We continue to remain concerned about the ongoing pandemic so masks will be required during all indoor services whether you are vaccinated or not.
