WOLCOTT – Mrs. Florence Dumouchel, age 87 of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was called home to the Lord to join her beloved husband of 63 years, Lucien Dumouchel.
Florence was born in Canada on December 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Louis and Ida (Ferland) Montreuil. The family immigrated to the US in 1947. Florence had a courageous and feisty spirit. She looked forward to Saturday evening get-togethers and sharing her home baked goods. She was a parishioner of St Pius X Church and had a strong faith in the Lord. Florence loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children, Raymond (Melissa) Dumouchel, Oceanside, CA; Lorraine (Ray) Krajewski, Bethlehem; Linda (Richard) Blanc, Prospect; Donald Dumouchel, Waterbury; Mary (Robert) DiBrino, Wolcott; and Nancy (Rocco) Polletta, Prospect. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, a brother Raymond (Joyce) Montreuil, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Florence was predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Carol Dumouchel of Meriden.
The Dumouchel family would like to thank Jose Pedraza for the friendship and support provided to their mother since the passing of her husband. They would also like to thank Dr. Caporaso for the compassionate care provided throughout the many years.
