WATERBURY – Fernando Manuel Ramos age 55 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness on June 6th, 2023.
Fernando was born February 18th, 1968, in São Nicolau, Cape Verde the son of Manuel Ramos and the late Idalina (Andrade) Ramos. Fernando emigrated to the US in July of 2005 and spent several years working as a factory worker for Sidel Manufacturing. Fernando enjoyed life to the fullest, playing soccer and cards and singing. He was always one to share a good joke and was always happiest while spending time with his family and friends, brothers and nephews
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children; Eidilene Ramos, Josilene Ramos, Ravidson Ramos all of Cape Verde and Odair Ramos of Italy. He also leaves his siblings, Geneva Ramos and husband, Nino, Jacinta Ramos, Rufina Ramos, Isabel Ramos, Inacia Ramos, Antônio Ramos and his wife, Nani all of Italy. Celina Ramos and husband Nandinho of Sal Cape Verde, Brother Jose Ramos and wife, Armanda Ramos, Albertina Ramos, and Amílcar Ramos all of Waterbury. He is predeceased by his brothers Eristide Ramos and Nuno Alvaro Ramos.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr Ramos will be held on Friday, June 9th 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
