WATERBURY -Elieser Martinez age 55, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Elieser was born October 1st 1966 in Waterbury, CT. The son of Josefina Rodriguez of Waterbury and the late Eriberto Martinez. Elieser was educated in local schools and was a talented self-taught chef of 30 years. He worked for various restaurants throughout the Connecticut area including Elenni's Restaurant, The Elks Club, and Kitchen 64 to name just a few. Elieser was an avid New England Patriots fan and was always happiest while spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his daughters; Suzanne Martinez and fiancé Malik Ifill, Alexis Martinez and fiancé Adoniz Calderon, and Brianna Martinez, all of Waterbury. He also leaves his sister Evelyn & her husband Richard Torres, his brother Eriberto & his wife Yolanda Martinez, his brother Angel Martinez & his partner Anne Laliberte and his brother Miguel & his wife Yelitza Martinez, in addition to many nieces and nephews, the mother of his 3 daughters, Susan Violette, and his five grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Martinez will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:30 a.m at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Martinez family on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. We continue to remain very concerned about the ongoing pandemic, so masks will be required during all indoor services, regardless of your current vaccination status.
