WATERBURY - Elaine D. Janusauskas, age 80, of Waterbury passed away on January 20, 2023 at Trinity Terrace in Watertown with the comfort and love of her son, Rudolph by her side. Elaine was the widow of Rudolph Hermsdadt Sr.
Elaine was born November 4, 1942 in Waterbury and attended St. Joseph Catholic School in her youth. Proud of her Lithuanian heritage she was a member of the Lithuanian Club and the VFW in the Brooklyn area of Waterbury. Elaine loved spending time with her friends Walter and Donna of Waterbury, and she enjoyed sharing her recipes with her daughter in law Grace. Elaine will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her legacy and honor her memory are her son, Rudolph A. Hermstadt and his wife Grace and grandson Rudy as well as her Richard Januasauskas and his two sons, Anthony and Eric as well as her late sister’s son, Jason Janusauskas.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband Rudolph Hermstadt Sr. and her sister, Gail Janusauskas
A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Janusauskas will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
