Mrs. Debra Pelletier

OXFORD - Debra Pelletier, age 68, passed peacefully at home on September 3rd, 2025.

Debbie was the daughter of the late Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth (Betty) Deely. Debbie was raised in the Waterville neighborhood of Waterbury, CT. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School class of ‘76, and went on to attend Southern Connecticut State University in pursuit of the arts. She was a life-long music lover, who even spent time traveling with the Charlie Daniels Band, as well as a talented artist. Debbie spent her career working as a passionate and devoted vocational rehab counselor for the State of CT DMHAS. Her coworkers and clients continued to hold a special place in her heart long after her retirement. Although Debbie spent many years battling the debilitating effects of multiple sclerosis and lupus, she never missed the opportunity to send a handwritten note of encouragement or thoughtful celebration message to her friends and family. In her later years, Debbie’s dogs, Boo and Theodora, brought her a tremendous amount of joy through their companionship.

Debbie is predeceased by her parents, Bob and Betty (Kurtz) Deely, and her husband, Donald Pelletier. She is survived by her brothers Bob (Kathy) Deely of Monroe and Middlebury Police Chief Patrick (Teresa) Deely of Watertown. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews Kristen (Eric) Howe, Michael (Molly) Deely, Sean (Becca) Deely, and Elisa (Brandon) Deely; her beloved great nephews Henry, Luke, Guy, and Warren; and her many cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Disciples Parish, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Main St. in Watertown on Friday November 7th, 2025, at 12:10pm.
