SOUTHBURY – David G. Tucker Sr, age 83 of Southbury, formerly of Wolcott, passed away peacefully at his home after an extended illness on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. He was the widower of Eleanor (Muccino) Tucker.
David was born July 13th, 1940, in Danbury, CT, the son of the late Howard Tucker Sr and Elsie (Clark) Tucker. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School and spent many years working as a roofer for Premier Roofing in West Haven. David enjoyed listening to Oldies Rock and Roll and Country music, especially Johnny Cash, and was an avid billiards and canasta player. He loved dogs and especially enjoyed playing with his granddaughter’s dog, Harley. Going out on the boat with his son-in-law was one of his favorite things to do but there was nothing more important to David than his family and he always “lit up” when he was with them.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children; Tracy Radaskie and her husband, Frank of Waterbury, David G Tucker Jr and his partner, Lori of Prospect, and Tammy Thomas and her husband, Chuck of Torrington. He also leaves his four grandchildren Jennifer Radaskie, Charlie Thomas, Jack Thomas, and Alexandra Thomas, as well as his sister Patricia Dojnia of Ansonia, and sister-in-law, Sharon Tucker of Thomaston in addition to several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Howard Tucker Jr, Gene, Douglas, and John Tucker.
David’s family would like to thank all the staff and care takers at the Motif by Monarch in Southbury for the loving care they shared with David during his time living there.
Funeral services for Mr. Tucker will be held on Tuesday, December 12th 2023 at 11:00 at Casey’s Eastside Memorial and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends may visit with David’s family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, CT.
