WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness that the family of Daniel Serrano Jr., age 48, of Waterbury, shares the news of his passing on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Daniel was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on July 25, 1977, the son of Daniel Sr., and Felicita Torres Serrano. He had a beautiful heart and was known for his loving nature. Family meant everything to him, and he found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones. Throughout his life, Daniel faced challenges and at times took paths that were not always easy. However, he demonstrated remarkable strength in his journey toward personal growth and healing that inspired those around him. 

Those who knew Daniel will remember him for his big heart, laughter, and the immense love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Besides Daniel’s loving parents, left to cherish and honor his memory are his siblings; Damerias Gonzalez of Hartford, Jessica Serrano of New Britain, Edward Serrano and his wife Sarita of Waterbury, Rocky Ocasio of Waterbury, and Giovanni Vazquez of Waterbury, his first cousins; Monique Serrano of Florida, Joan Torres of Waterbury, Amanda Romerro of Tennessee and his second cousin; Natasha Torres of Waterbury. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Daniel’s family on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
