THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF CLARENCE DEMERS JR.
WATERBURY - Clarence Demers Jr. age 78, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on December 20, 2021. He was the loving and devoted husband to Marguerite (Lucarelli) Demers for 37 years.
Clarence was born September 11, 1943 in Waterbury, CT son of the late Clarence and Emma (White) Demers Sr. He attended local schools and graduated from Crosby High School. Clarence proudly served his country with the United States Navy from 1963-1967. He then went to work for Timex Corporation for over 15 years and then worked as a quality control inspector for ITW Highland for 17 years. Clarence was an avid golfer and could be found at Western Hills almost every day and even got his certificate as a golf instructor sharing his skills with local golfers. He loved to fish, enjoyed bowling in his younger years, listening to music and karaoke with his wife but most especially he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and always looked forward to family vacations.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his wife, Marguerite Demers, is his stepdaughter, Diane and her husband, Richard Phipps, four grandchildren; Kyle, Corey, Rhianna and Alex, and two brothers; Wade Demers of Oakhill, Florida and Eugene Demers of Waterbury. He also leaves behind his three children from his 1st marriage; Scott, Deborah and Cheryl Demers, along with many cousins and extended family members.
Funeral Services for Mr. Demers will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, when Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, SS Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with the Demers family on Tuesday December 28, 2021 from 5:00pm till 8:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT.
