Devoted to his family

WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved father, Charles Curtis McGee Jr., age 71, on Friday, May 9, 2025, in the peace and comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. He passed in the care of his lifelong partner, Janet Esposito.

Charles was born on February 6, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the son of the late Charles C. McGee, Sr., and Dorothy M. Johnson. He worked for many years as an operating engineer in Connecticut and New York, and was a proud member of Local #478 Operating Engineers. Charles was a hardworking family man who enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, animals of all sorts, and everything related to heavy equipment, tractors, and farming. His legacy will live on through the stories he told, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared. May he find eternal rest and peace beyond measure and never be forgotten.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children, Kimberly, Chuck, Danielle, and Michelle, several grandchildren, his sisters and their children, aunts, and numerous cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Mr. McGee’s family on Friday, May 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m., at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. The funeral service for Mr. McGee will take place at 11:30 a.m., followed by burial at New Pine Grove Cemetery, located at 850 Meriden Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705.
