WATERBURY – It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Carol Williams, age 80, of Waterbury, announces her unexpected passing on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Carol was born January 19th, 1944, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary E. (Gorman) Williams. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and was an active volunteer for several associations throughout the Waterbury area, including Carolyn’s Place and Saint Mary’s Hospital Pastoral Care Department, and was a member of the Waterbury Ladies of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Carol was a woman of profound faith and an active parishioner of Mary, Mother of the Church parish where she was a member of the Ladies' Guild and served as a Eucharist Minister at Saints Peter and Paul's Church. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her memory and cherish her legacy are her cousins; Philp and Jamielyn Gorman and their son, Joshua, of Prospect, and Richard Gorman III, of Derby, as well as other extended family members and many friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 18th, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Leo the Great Church, Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 64 Bentwood Dr., Waterbury, CT. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
