THOMASTON- It is with profound sadness that the family of Carol (Bradshaw) Gasper, age 77, of Thomaston, formerly of Watertown, shares the news of her peaceful passing on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was the devoted wife of Stephen Gasper, to whom she was married for 30 years.
Carol was born on May 06, 1948, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Gloria (Giordano) Bradshaw and the late Howard Bradshaw Jr. She grew up in Watertown and was a graduate of Watertown High School, Carol then went on to achieve her associate’s degree in business at Post College. Following college, she worked as a medical transcriptionist for St. Mary’s hospital and then for 32 years at Waterbury Hospital. A passionate reader and an avid fan of movies, Carol enjoyed many pastimes in her earlier years including dancing, working on crossword puzzles, and dining out. She always looked forward to family trips to the casino cherishing time spent with her loved ones. However, nothing brought her more joy than cooking family dinners on Wednesdays and creating lasting memories with her family, especially her adored grandchildren. Our family thanks you Mom for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to honor her memory, beside her husband, Stephen, are her children; Mark Linden (Maxine Echevarria), and Kathy Linden. Stephen and Carol were blessed with 7 adoring grandchildren; Jon, Michael, Jamie, Ethan, Alexa, Bella, and Olivia, and 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters; Laura DeLeon, Diane Lucarelli (Bob), and Gloria Benza (Mark), along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Carol was predeceased by her son, Frank Linden Jr., and her sister, Linda Palomba.
