REMEMBERING AND HONORING THE LIFE OF CAOL ZYGMUNT.
WATERBURY - Caol Phillips Zygmunt age 36, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, April, 10, 2022.
Caol was born September 20, 1985 in New Haven, CT, the son of Cathryn Phillips and the late Alexander Zygmunt. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and then went onto work for YRC Freight as a fork lift operator. There was nothing more important to Caol than spending time with his two sons, who he cherished.
Caol was an avid sports fan, and he especially enjoyed baseball, football and basketball, which he played as well. He cheered on the Red Sox, Philadelpha Eagles and Philadelpha 76ers. Caol was a member of First Congregational Church of Waterbury.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy are his sons Caleb and Tyler Zygmunt, his mother, Cathryn Phillips, stepmother Janet Boardman, brother Trevor Zygmunt and his sister Shana Boardman. He also leaves his godmother and aunt, Sandra Phillips, along with several nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Zygmunt will be held on Thursday April 21, 2022, at 7:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Caleb and Tyler Zygmunt Educational Trust to P.O. Box 7345 Prospect, CT 06712. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort or share a memory with the family and friends of someone that was important to you.
