WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness that the family of Barbara Porter, age 84, of Waterbury, announces her peaceful passing in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, May 22, 2026, after an extended illness. She was the widow of Andrew Joseph Porter.

She was a lifelong resident of Waterbury and dedicated her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, bringing kindness and comfort to countless individuals throughout the Waterbury area. Barbara had an adventurous spirit, enjoying trips to the casino with her family, gathering with friends for card games, and finding joy in birdwatching—activities that highlighted her vibrant personality and her love for life. As we celebrate her life, we remember her strength, her love for family, and the countless memories that will forever remind us of her gentle spirit. Barbara may be gone, but she will never be forgotten and will live on in those who loved her.
