WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that the family of Barbara (Gentile) Pollo Morrow, age 83, share the news of her peaceful passing at the Vitas Inpatient Unit of St Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Monday, April 28, 2025. She was predeceased by her loving husband Francis Morrow.

Barbara was born on June 22, 1941, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Louis and Esther (Pesce) Gentile. She was a graduate of Crosby High School Class of 1959 and then went on to work as a travel agent for many years at Globe Travel. Barbara loved to travel and spent time exploring and enjoying countries all over the world. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed tending to her beautiful gardens. Barbara was exceptional in almost every way, but she excelled the most at being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be fondly remembered by all those who were blessed to know and love her.

Left to honor and cherish her memories are her children; David Pollo, Debra Pollo Simmons (Mack), and Donna Grandpre (Scott), daughter in law Donna Lee Pollo, stepchildren; Fran, Mike, Steve, Linda, Doug, and Kathy. Barbara also leaves her beloved grandchildren; Lindsey, Caitlin, Allycia, Corey, Shavonne, Haley, and John. She leaves several great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren which she loved very much, her sister, Carolyn Laurel, her brother, Joseph Gentile (Karen), along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pollo Morrow will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. when a Prayer Service in Celebration of her Life will be held at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
