WATERBURY- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anne Teresa DeFlorio, age 90, of Waterbury shares the news of her unexpected passing at Saint Mary’s Hospital after an extended illness on December 12th 2025. She was the widow of Patsy DeFlorio.

Anne was born on January 28, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Emidio and Lucia (LaPenna) Parcesepe, Anne spent her formative years on Decator Street, where she cultivated a wealth of unforgettable childhood memories that she cherished throughout her life. Anne's journey led her to Connecticut, after she married the love of her life, Patsy, embarking on a beautiful partnership that blossomed in the floral industry. Together, they nurtured their family business, DeFlorio Florist on Meriden Rd in Waterbury, creating a legacy of love and beauty that reverberated through their community. Anne was a woman of deep traditional values, known for her Sunday gatherings filled with laughter and the warmth of an Italian meal. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from crocheting cozy blankets for her family to gathering around the table for spirited card games. She and Patsy often graced the dance floor, twirling to the rhythm of love and companionship. Summer vacations in Wildwood were a highlight of Anne's life, a time when her cherished family came together, creating bonds that would last for generations. Family was everything to her, and she treasured each moment spent in their company. Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children, Mark DeFlorio and his wife Donna of Las Vegas, NV; Martin DeFlorio of Waterbury; and Maryann Sirois and her late husband Kenneth of Fort Pierce, Fl. She also leaves her grandchildren, Greg, Jeff, Andy, Stephanie, Janine, and Amanda; her great-grandchildren, Jonas, Olivia, Colton, and Carson; her many cousins who were like brothers and sisters to her; other extended family members; and many friends. She is predeceased by her brother, Anthony Parcesepe.

A memorial gathering for Mrs. DeFlorio will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:30 am til 11:30 am, with a prayer service being held at 11:15am at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Waterbury.
