Obituary

MIDDLETOWN — It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Anissa Porticelli, age 54, of Berlin, shares the news of her peaceful passing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Bouffard and now rejoices in her eternal home, united with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Anissa was born on June 9, 1971, in Port Chester, NY, the cherished daughter of Agostino Porticelli and the late Vicki Lynne (McGrew) Porticelli. Anissa's journey led her from her hometown of Port Chester to Connecticut in 1998, following a sudden accident that changed her life. Through it all, she lived with extraordinary courage, grace, and an unshakable faith. An author, speaker, and media professional, Anissa’s life stood as a powerful testament to resilience and to the enduring strength found in God’s grace. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Southern Connecticut State University and later obtained her master’s degree in divinity from Andover Newton Theological School. Anissa shared her talent and faith through her work as a broadcaster at WIHS 104.9FM Christian radio, touching the lives of many with her compassionate voice and unwavering spirit. Though she faced many health challenges, Anissa never allowed them to define her. Instead, she met each trial with hope, determination, and a deep trust in her faith. To those who knew her, she was a steady and unwavering presence—a source of strength, encouragement, and love.

Anissa’s faith was an integral part of her life; she was a dedicated and active member of the Elevate Life Church in Wallingford. Anissa's heart was especially devoted to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, Daniel Bouffard, and their beloved daughter, Arielle Bouffard. Family vacations, particularly to her favorite destination in Aruba, created lasting memories that her loved ones will hold dear. Anissa's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, and her loving memory will be cherished forever.

Left to honor and cherish her memory, besides her loving husband of 20 years, Daniel and her father, Agostino Porticelli, are her daughter, Arielle Bouffard and her siblings; Joseph Porticelli and Jamie Orr and her husband Ian of White Plains, NY. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13 , 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, Connecticut. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Anissa’s family on Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the service commences at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
