WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Mr. Angel L. Soto, age 39, say farewell for now, to our beloved son, father, brother and friend, following his unexpected and tragic passing on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Angel was born on September 5, 1987, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the beloved son of Angel L. Soto Lebron and Milagros I. Melendez Vega. He was a dedicated baker at Brooklyn Bakery for the past six years, where his passion for baking treats brought joy to many in the community. He was known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and sense of humor. As a loving son, father, brother and friend he cherished his family and his many relationships deeply. In addition to his love for his work at the bakery, he was an avid cook who enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends. He loved animals, horseback riding and spending time with his loved ones. Angel's legacy of kindness and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his spirit live on forever and remain in our hearts and his legacy will continue through the love he shared with us all.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy, beside his parents, are his children, Angel Soto III and Ivan Soto and his brother, Pedro Colon and his wife Natalie Rosado. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew, Jeimilee Colon, Jadiel Colon, Sariah Figueroa and Amelia Colon, his mother-in-law Eneida Castillo, along with many cousins, extended family members, and friends.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Soto will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. In this time of reflection, the family welcomes all who knew and loved Angel to share messages of condolence, comfort, and cherished memories.
