WATERBURY – Angel Mendillo, age 47, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Wednesday, August 23rd,2023 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of Saint Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was the loving daughter of Michael and Lory (Sherman) Mendillo Jr.
Angel was born July 18, 1976, in Willimantic, CT. She attended and graduated from Aces Academy in North Haven. Angel spent many years in the CT Special Olympics where she loved to do everything that was offered from track and field to bowling. She was the happiest spending time with her family and friends. Angel will be missed by all those who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her memory and cherish her memories are her parents Michael and Lory Mendillo Jr. and her beloved family dog, Willow. Angel also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Angel will be held on Tuesday, August 29th 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may gather with Angel’s family from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 am.
