ST. AUGUSTINE, FL - It is with great sadness that the family of Alice K Frino age 79 of St Augustine, FL, formerly of Somers, CT, announce the passing of their beloved wife, sister, and friend on February 26th, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Louis R. Frino.

Alice was born on June 12, 1945 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Beatrice Ross and James R. Kennedy of Oakville, CT. Alice was educated in the Waterbury school system. She attended the University of Bridgeport and graduated in 1966 with an associate's degree from Fones School of Dental Hygiene, where she earned her registration and license from the State of CT. She was a past president of the Connecticut State Dental Hygienist Association and liaison with the Connecticut Dental Association. Alice returned to college in 1988 and, graduated in 1995 with honors from American International College, Springfield, MA, with a BBA degree in Business Management and Technology. She remained at RDH and also found her way into other dental field environments for over 40 years.

Her life and marriage with Louis continued through 50 years of family events, winter skiing, and enjoyment at their summer/winter cottage, purchased in 1979 in Jamaica, VT, near Stratton Mountain Ski area. Both were advanced and accomplished skiers. Alice and her husband Louis were members of the Stratton Mountain Trailblazers Ski Club, where she served as events Chairwoman for many years. Together, they skied at various US Rocky Mountain and Vermont ski areas. Their last month of skiing together was March 2020 at Stratton Mountain, VT. They built their first home in Somers, CT, in 1977 and stayed in CT until they retired in 2017 to St. Augustine, FL. They were members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church of St. Augustine. She was loved by all who knew her family, friends, church members, and past career associates, alike.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband of 50 years, Louis are her sister, Lee M. Kennedy of Torrington, CT, and her brother-in-law, James Budris of Watertown. She was predeceased by her sister, Lynn Kennedy Budris.

A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Frino will be held on Thursday, May 29th, from 6 to 8 pm at the Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St, Oakville, CT 06779. A prayer service will be held on Friday, May 30th at the funeral home at 9:00 am, followed by inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown, CT. In lieu of flowers, and to honor Alice’s memory, donations to Community Hospice and Palliative Care at 400 Health Park Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32086 would be great, greatly appreciated.
