Doctor Albert Owino

The family of Dr. Albert Owino would like to announce his untimely death that happened on October 3rd after a brief illness. Dr. Owino was a dedicated and passionate professor at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT where he taught Meteorology and Physics until his retirement as of June 2024. Dr. Owino leaves behind his loving wife Alice Owino, his son Jeff Odhiambo of New Zealand, Maureen Schwemmlein of Germany, Lucas Otieno of Kenya, Susan Owino and Peter Owino of US. Dr. Owino was also a loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren. His family and loved ones will miss him dearly.

The wake will be held on October 24th, 2025 5pm -7pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Memorial Service will be held on October 25th, 2025 at 10am -11am at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 W Main Street Waterbury, CT 06702.
