WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Aida Luz Pedrosa, age 80, of Waterbury, shares the news of her peaceful passing on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Jose Roberto Martinez for over 50 years.

Aida was born on November 29, 1945, in Catano, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Ramon Pedrosa and Delia Sanyuzt. She attended local schools in New York. Aida was known for her warmth and hospitality, always welcoming family and friends into her home with a feast of delicious meals that showcased her passion for cooking. As a devoted homemaker, she played a crucial role in raising her family and fostering a nurturing environment for all. Aida also enjoyed indulging in her favorite horror movies, often sharing thrilling nights with loved ones.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, Aida Martinez and Jose Martinez, 3 grandchildren, Charlyn Santiago, Shanice Robinson, and Christine Santiago, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, along with extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Aida will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:45 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
