WATERBURY - William P. Pronovost age 59 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Marys Hospital after an extended illness. He was the husband of Paula (Prestipino) Pronovost.

Bill was born October 16, 1959 in Waterbury, the son of the late Francis J and Barbara (Milot) Pronovost. He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School. Bill was an elected member of the Board of Voter Admissions under both the Santopietro and Bergin Administrations and was a longtime member of the Waterbury Democratic Town Committee. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13424 and nominated member of Who's Who in America by the late Honorable Richard Marano. He worked for the State of CT, DOT in the Electrical Division for many years and was an active member of the SEIU. Bill was a parishioner of St Francis Xavier Church and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Besides his wife Paula of 37 years, Bill leaves his daughter, Maryteresa Pronovost and her two children, Natasha and Aria, his brothers, Robert D. Pronovost, Michael D. Pronovost and his wife Jennifer, and Lucian Pronovost all of Waterbury as well as his sister-in-law Susan Greco Pronovost. And several nieces and nephews as well as many extended family. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas J and Francis J. Pronovost.

Funeral services for Mr. Pronovost will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relative and friends may visit with his family at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers to honor Bill's memory, donations may be made to his granddaughters Natasha and Aria Ramdin at Ramdin Children Education Fund c/o Webster Bank 710 Wolcott Rd, Wolcott CT 06716.
