WATERBURY - Mr. William Jacovino, age 97 of Waterbury, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Monday, March 6, 2017 after a brief illness.
Bill was born November 6, 1919 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Frank and Philomena (Sabia) Jacovino. He spent many years working throughout the Waterbury area as a machinist at several manufacturing companies. Though he was not formally trained, Bill was a talented mechanic and was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed repairing and restoring cars and was an avid NASCAR racing fan.
Among his survivors are his brother, Frank Jacovino and his wife, Betty of Waterbury with whom he shared his home, in addition to several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Alex Jacovino.
Services for Mr. Jacovino will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
