PROSPECT - William J. Gagnon, age 67 of Prospect, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2020 from complications of the Covid-19 virus. He was the loving husband of June (Whittaker) Gagnon.
Bill was born September 22, 1952 in Waterbury the son of the late Clifford and Juanita (Perreault) Gagnon. He was educated in local schools and worked for many years at Serv-All Plumbing and Electrical in Waterbury. Later in life, he returned to school to earn his electrician's license and worked as an electrician until his retirement. Bills greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid race car fan and enjoyed many NASCAR races with his friends. He will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him. He was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Waterbury.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his love and legacy, besides his wife of 44 years, are his children; daughter, Melanie and son, Stephen. He and June were blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Nicolette. He also leaves; 4 sisters, one brother and many other family members and friends, nieces and nephews. He also leaves his faithful beagle, Brandi who was always by his side.
Due to the current governmental restrictions concerning COVID 19, funeral services for Mr. Gagnon will be private. Public services will be announced at a later time when restrictions are lifted. To honor his memory, donations to First Congregational Church of Waterbury 222 West Main St Waterbury CT 06702 are greatly appreciated.
