Viola Sullivan

WATERBURY - Viola DiPietro-Sullivan age 98, of Gates Ave Waterbury, died peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Richard W. Sullivan.

Mrs. Sullivan was born on May 2, 1915 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Michael and Lucille (Gaultieri) D'Ambrosi. A lifelong Waterbury resident. she was educated in local schools and worked for over 35 years at Worth's Dept. Store in downtown Waterbury as a sales associate. Viola loved crafts of all kinds and enjoyed tag sales. She was happiest when surrounded by her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a longtime parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Church.

Besides her devoted husband, Viola leaves her son, Nick DiPietro and his wife Beverly of Manchester CT, 2 grandchildren, Paul DiPietro and his fiance Gwen of Culver City CA and Nicole Anterni and her husband Peter of Shrewsbury MA as well as two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Viola's family would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to the staff at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital, the staff at Meridian Manor and Dr. Rosenthal and Quinn and Karen Nardello for the compassionate and personal care they provided to Viola throughout her illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sullivan will be held on Friday, June 14th, 2013 at 11:00am at Eastside Memorial, "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME & TRIBUTE CENTER" 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
