peacefully on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020, at Noble Horizons in Salisbury, CT. He was the
devoted and loving husband of wife Marie (Fasolo) Castaldi for 67 years.

Vincent was born June 9th 1927, in Waterbury, the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Porcelli)
Castaldi. He was a graduate of St. Thomas Grammar School and Leavenworth High School.
He was a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Church as well. Vincent proudly served the U.S.
Army from 1945-1947 in World War II where he was assigned as a special envoy during the
Nuremberg trials. Vincent proudly worked for 40 years at Waterbury Farrel Foundry and
Machine Company where he earned his machinist degree. He was a member of VFW and
Knights of Columbus for many years. Vincent was an accomplished carpenter and mechanic
with an attention to detail. He could "fix anything" and was always there for his friends and
family. Vincent's passion was his yard as his green grass and beautiful flower gardens were
the envy of the neighborhood. He loved life and always looked forward to spending Sundays
with his family which included many laughs. This was the highlight of his week. Vincent was an
avid Yankee fan who spent many weekends with his friends and family in the Bronx. Joe
DiMaggio could do "no wrong" as Vincent was very proud of his Italian heritage. He looked
forward to his family vacations in Maine, Florida, Ocean City and Rhode Island.

In addition to Marie, his wife of 67 years, Vincent leaves his sons, Jeffrey Castaldi and his wife,
Beth, of Danbury, Steven Castaldi and his wife, Linda of Torrington; and his sister, Lena
Officer of Waterbury. Vincent and Marie were blessed with 4 grandchildren and their spouses,,
Jason Castaldi and his wife Kristin of Danbury, Lauren Castaldi of Danbury, Lindsay Seiser
and her husband Kurt of Avon and Ryan Castaldi of Torrington as well as his great
grandchildren Roslyn and Bianca Castaldi and Carson and Gerrit Seiser. He was predeceased
by his sisters, Philomena Bredice and Mary Rinaldi.
The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Noble Horizons for all
their care and compassion for keeping "Vinnie" comfortable and peaceful during his last
precious days. It is hard to single out anyone as each person was extraordinary. The family
also wants to extend its gratitude to Salute Homecare for taking care of Vincent at home for
the past three years and bettering his quality of life.

As per his wishes, Vincent will be cremated, and full Military Honors will be held later when
