THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF THOMAS P. TAYLOR SR.
WATERBURY - Thomas P. Taylor Sr. age 89 of Waterbury,
passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. For 64 wonderful
years, he was the husband of the late Grace Taylor who predeceased him on March 26,
2016.
Thomas was born November 14, 1928 in Charleston MS, the youngest son of the late
Charlie and Rose (Payne) Taylor. Thomas worked for many years as a sheet metal
roller at Plume & Atwood. After his retirement, he continued to do for others by working
at the N.O.W. for various programs including the Meals on Wheels program.
He was the type of guy who could fix absolutely anything, loved music of all types but
especially jazz and blues. Most important to Thomas was his family. He was always
happiest when surrounded by all of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly
missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Thomas is survived by his daughters Tamera D. Taylor of Lithonia GA and Crystal L.
Taylor of Waterbury, his sons Thomas P. Taylor Jr. of El Paso TX and Kevin S. Taylor
of Waterbury, and his sister, Rose Ann Fox of Painesville OH.
He also leaves 16 grandchildren; Kyla Davenport (husband Terrance), Jamel Burke,
Anitra Atkinson, Jermaine Atkinson (wife Jennifer), Kylee Atkinson-Heyward (husband
Andre), Thomas (LT) Taylor III, William Taylor, Troy Taylor, Jason Taylor (wife Dana),
Kevin Taylor II, Ryan Taylor (fiancée Erin), Brandon Taylor, Drayden Taylor, Jaszmin
Taylor, Deszren Taylor, and Eris Hudson-Gonzalez. Thomas also leaves 14 great
grands: Wallace, Jessika, Brianna, Brayden, BrynnLee, Carter, Trayce, Latrell, Melissa
(May), Kyran, Amyra, Elyse, Kenzlee, and Jason Jr.
Thomas is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings:
Henry Charles, Theodore (Otis), Luequency (LQ)Taylor, Irene Taplin, and Gladys
Carter.
Funeral Services for Mr. Taylor will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at
Casey's Eastside Memorial Home 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury.
Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may
visit with Thomas's family on Tuesday from 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. To
