NEW BRITAIN Thomas J. Davignon, age 55 of Plantsville, passed away peacefully on Monday August 19th after a brief battle with cancer. He was the husband of Robin (Burgio) Davignon.
Tom was born September 20th 1957 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Leo Davignon of Port St Lucie, Fl and the late Phyllis (DiStefano) Davignon. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and was a skilled painter who ran his own painting service "Painting by Tom" for the past 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time on his boat. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his two canine buddies; Coca, and Tuffy. He was a member of the Wallingford Knights of Columbus and a member of the Meriden Police Benevolent Association Club. Tom's family would like to thank all the family and friends who have supported the Davignon and Burgio families over the past several months.
Besides his father, Leo and wife of 22 years, Robin, Tom is survived by his children; Scott Moreau of Waterbury, Raymond Lush of Southington, Amy Davignon of Waterbury, Jennifer Lush of Waterbury, and Sarah Lush of New Hartford. His sisters, Gloria Stowell of Wallingford, and Ann Davignon of Waterbury as well as grandchildren; Brittany, BriOnna, Alyssa, and his two expected grandsons as well as several brothers and sisters in law especially; George, Frank, Bob, Keith, Michael, Kenny & Kathy and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Davignon.
Funeral services for Mr. Davignon will be held on Thursday, August 22nd at 10:30am at Saint Leo the Great Church 14 Bentwood Dr Waterbury, CT 06705. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. Rites of Committal will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
