THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF Theresa Lafontaine


WATERBURY-Theresa (Marchesseault ) Lafontaine, 79, devoted wife of the late Marcel Lafontaine passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Born in Waterbury on October 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Egnas and Aurore (Jodion) Marchesseault. Theresa was married to Marcel Lafontaine on September 2, 1961 and they were inseparable. The owned and operated Terry's Joke Shop, Unusual Gift Shops, Time Crafters and Mar-Ken Woodcrafters. They were longtime dedicated members of The Shrine of St. Anne. Theresa was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and a bingo worker.

Left to remember, cherish and honor Theresa's love and memories are, her four children; David (Lisa) Lafontaine, Diane (Robert) Gorman, Paul Lafontaine, Marcel R. Lafontaine, seven grandchildren Cassie, Kelsie, Amber and Robert Gorman Jr., Paul Lafontaine Jr., Desiree and Hannah Lafontaine, and four great grandchildren, Madison, Aubree, Joshua and Cecilia.

She will also be deeply missed by brothers; Lucian (Carol) and Ernest (Phyllis) Marchesseault and her sister, Jeannette Laliberte, and her sisters-in-law; Doris Marchesseault, Lena Lafontaine, brother-in - Leo (Helena) Lafontaine and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Marcel, she was predeceased by her siblings; Loretta, Flor, Paul and George.

Theresa's family would like to extend a special thanks to VITAS Hospice and her caregiver, Louise Ritter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at The Shrine of St. Anne/Todos Los Santos Parish 515 South Main St Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Lafontaine Family on Thursday from 10 to 11:00 AM at the church. We are all still concerned about everyone's safety, and masks will be required to attend the services inside the church.
