WATERBURY - Steven James Gorman, age 62, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on July 23rd 2021. He was the son of Linda (Murphy) Gorman Cariello and the late James Gorman, and John W. Cariello.
Steve was born March 14th 1959 in Waterbury, CT and was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and was employed for many years by the City of Waterbury as a custodial engineer at Wilby High School. Steve loved his music, especially Tower of Power, which was his favorite band. You could frequently hear Steve's music blasting from down the street. He also loved hiking and being outdoors where he would appreciate the natural, beautiful scenery the world had to offer. He also loved spending time at the beach soaking up the sun. Steve and his brother shared a love of science fiction movies and would commonly spend their Friday nights having a movie night. Steve was a very talented cook and worked at multiple places, including some local convalescent homes as a chef. His food was always prepared to perfection and enjoyed by all.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his mother, Linda, his daughter, Stephanie Kacani and her husband, Eljon of Waterbury, and his granddaughters; Charlotte and Estella Kacani. He also leaves his brother, John C. Cariello and his wife, Michelle of Thomaston, a niece, Sophia and nephew, Gianni Cariello whom he adored as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, James Gorman, his father, John W. Cariello, and his sister, Cathy Lynn Gorman.
Funeral services for Mr. Gorman will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 6:45pm p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be at the convince of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Steven's family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:45 p.m. Memories last only if you share them, so you are encouraged to leave a condolence, words of comfort or personal memory with the family on Robert's tribute page at: www.eastsidememorial.com .
