THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF SHAUN McCORMACK


WOLCOTT - Shaun Thomas McCormack, 61, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on July 31, 2019, at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, after a long struggle with anaplastic thyroid cancer.

Shaun was born in Waterbury on March 18, 1958, son of the late Hugh and Jane McCormack. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School. Until the time of his illness, he was employed with Quality Automatics, Inc./Curtis Products. He was a devoted New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. It can be said with great pride that Shaun exemplified a "life well lived". Shaun will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul with a generous spirit, who loved a party and the company of his family and many friends, especially the crew at Café 1650.

Left to remember, cherish and honor Shaun's love and memories are his daughter, Stephanie McCormack, of Torrington, and his eight brothers and sisters; Colleen (Holly) Capobianco of Watertown; Mary Ellen (Sissy) Quicquaro and her husband, John, of Waterbury; Kevin McCormack of Meriden; Kathleen McGovern and her husband, Larry, of Waterbury; Tara McCormack of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; Bridget Ciarlo and her husband, David, of Wolcott, Michael McCormack of Waterbury and Hugh (Tim) McCormack and his wife, Stephanie, of Middlebury as well as several, nieces, nephews and trusted friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St on the Green in Waterbury. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Old St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Casey's Eastside Memorial has been honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
