WATERBURY - Samuel Kabeya age 25 of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at St Mary’s Hospital.

Samuel was born on April 17, 1997 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Samuel was the son of Marie Kabamba and Crispin Kabeya. Samuel graduated from Wilbur Cross High school in New Haven. Samuel was well known in New Haven County. Samuel loved to play sports such as basketball. Samuel was a humorous guy, always singing, trying to dance, and cracking jokes. Putting a smile on people’s faces was normal for Sam. He was also helping and supporting no matter if he was busy or not he would be there for anyone. His humor was part of him as he loved to make people laugh. Family and friends all have good testimony about him. Samuel worked at Medtronic for a short period of time where he was loved by so many of his co-workers. Samuel was known by a lot of people because of his loving heart, respectful nature, and full of energy. Please pray for the Kabeya family during this difficult time and pray that God gives them strength.

Samuel has three oldest sisters Annie Kabeya, Tina Kabeya and Gracia Kabeya. Samuel is also an uncle of four; Marlene, Jeremiah, Marie Angel, and Elijah. Clarisse Makiba And his two brothers-in-law Jean Claude Mike and Alain Kalala will truly miss him. Samuel loved his family very much and he was very protective of them all. Samuel family treated him as the man in charge; because he was their last born and only boy out of his three siblings. Samuel “Sam” had so many nicknames such as “Prince Harry” from his mother. “Mike Tyson”, “Sammy Major” and “Samito” from his three sisters and “Sammy Slam” from his friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Kabeya will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. promptly at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main t Waterbury CT. Burial will follow immediately in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Sam’s family on Friday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral
