WATERBURY - Salvador M. Planas - age 72, of Waterbury, died Monday November 10th at Saint Mary's Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Planas was born March 1, 1942 in Penuelas Puerto Rico, the son of the late Juan and Rosa Maria (Muniz) Planas. He moved to the Waterbury area in 1970 and worked as a machine operator for various manufacturing companies.
Among his survivors are his daughters, Zulma and Migdalia Planas, Mildred Diaz and Maritza Figueroa; sons Alfredo, Jose and Daniel; Longtime companion Rosa Julia Muniz his sisters, Maria Planas of Puerto Rico, Nereida, Luz Maria, Lydia and Consuelo Planas all of Waterbury; as well as many nieces and granschildren. Two brothers Wilfredo and Guillermo Planas predecease him.
Relatives and friends may visit with Salvador's family on Friday November 14th at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd. in Waterbury. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
