WOLCOTT- Mrs. Ruth E. Franco, 93, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 surrounded by her family at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Franco Sr.
Ruth was born in Waterbury on March 30, 1928, the daughter of the late Mildred Lake. She worked for several local restaurants including the Hobbit House in Wolcott. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her son; Joseph Franco Jr. and his wife, Theresa "Terri" with whom Ruth lived in Wolcott, her grandson, Joseph Franco III and his wife, Kaitlin of Southbury. In addition to her husband, Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Franco and her four siblings.
Funeral services for Mrs. Franco will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
