WATERBURY - Ronald J. Gaetano, age 56, of Waterbury, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald was born on October 19, 1957 in Waterbury the son of Mary Ann Gaetano and the late Carmine Gaetano. He was educated in local schools and was employed as a driver for Sheet Metal Mfg. and prior to his illness was a chef at the Scoreboard Restaurant in Waterbury. Ron was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone that needed him. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was a longtime parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury.
Besides his mother of Wolcott, Ron leaves his brothers and sister: Robert, Peter and Richard of Waterbury, Frank of Bethlehem and John of Wolcott and his sister, Lori Cronin of Wolcott. He also leaves many special friends, cousins, nieces and nephews
Funeral services for Mr. Gaetano will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
