November 1, 1940 — July 14, 2022

WATERBURY CT – Mary Ann (Carroll) LoVetro, age 82, of Waterbury, CT, died unexpectedly on July 14, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Guy LoVetro.

Mary Ann was born on 11/1/1940 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late James & Margarite (Oats) Carroll. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier and Waterbury Catholic High School. After graduating she served in the United States Air Force, where she met her husband. She was retired having worked as a Bus Monitor for Allstar Transportation and Crossing Guard for the City of Waterbury. She was also an adult volunteer of the Boy Scout Troop 302 at WARC and child choir leader at St. Francis Xavier. Mary Ann lived life to the fullest, blessed by the love of family and friends.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her daughters; Lori Fox and her husband, David of Wallingford, Patricia LoVetro and her lifelong partner, Bruce; her sons; Mark and his wife, Marcy, Christopher and Michael, all of Waterbury; as well as her sisters; Elizabeth Miller of Waterbury and Helen Phillips of Naugatuck; and grandchildren, John Fox and Melissa LoVetro and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brother James Carroll and sister Margarite (Carroll) Garren.

Funeral services for Mary Ann will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT. Burial will full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with the LoVetro family on Monday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT 06705. Loving-kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort, or share a memory with the family and friends of someone important to you.
