WATERBURY - Lorraine Bradley, age 83 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Vitas Hospice Innovative Health Unit of Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the widow of George Bradley.
Lorraine was born June 7th 1939 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Althea (Costello) Serin. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and spent over forty years working as a nurse’s aide at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Lorraine was considered to be a workaholic but when she wasn’t caring for patients, she loved to spend time in New York City, and especially enjoying Broadway shows. Lorraine also loved to entertain and always looked forward to hosting gatherings of all kinds. Lorraine touched so many and was known for her generous spirit, her larger-than-usual heart and for helping anyone she could, whenever she could. Prior to her daughter Lynn’s passing in 2017, Lorraine enjoyed traveling together with her. Lorraine lived life to the fullest, blessed by the love of family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy, are her sons; Keith Bradley and his wife Pamela of Yuma, AZ, George “Brad” Bradley of Piedmont, SC, and Marc Bradley of Waterbury. She also leaves her adoring 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lynn Bradley, and her sister.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bradley will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care,1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705 to the Basilica of The Immaculate Conception Church 74 West Main St Waterbury CT, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Lorraine’s family on Tuesday evening, June 21st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Loving-kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort, or share a memory with the family and friends of someone important to you.
