Wife, Sister, Aunt, Friend
OAKVILLE- Denise Dubuque Fontaine peacefully passed away at her home Monday, June 27, 2022 after
a long illness with her loving husband Michael by her side. Denise was born May 24, 1951 in Waterbury,
CT and moved to Oakville as a child. She graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1970, with
many friends and fond memories. Denise held different occupations over the years but her favorite was
simply being a wonderful wife, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind Michael, her husband of forty-
seven years and two brothers: Ronald (Marianne) and Robert (Lois) Dubuque. She also leaves her two
nieces Erin Dubuque and Elizabeth Antonelli as well as nephews Daniel and Kevin Dubuque. She will be
greatly missed. The family would like to thank: Yale New Haven Hospital; Smilow Cancer Center in
Waterbury, particularly Dr. Sabbath and Karen Kachoulas; Litchfield County Hospice, particularly Nancy
Stolfi and aids Barbara and Brandy; All Visiting nurses and The O’Neill Funeral Home for their wonderful
care as well as the support of family and friends in her final days. Per her request there will be no calling
hours or memorial service. Charitable donations in her honor can be made to the American Cancer
Society or that of the reader’s choice.
